Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal is one of the three Hong Kong cross-border ferry service terminals under the jurisdiction of the government. It is located in Shun Tak Centre, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong Island and is part of the Shun Tak Centre development plan , Designed by Ma Hai Architects, and opened in 1985, it provides high-speed passenger ferry services between Hong Kong and Macau and Hong Kong and mainland ports (Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Shekou). In addition to sea transportation, there are also helicopter routes between Hong Kong and Macau within the Hong Kong and Macau terminals. The terminal provides 24-hour service, all year round. The Sheung Wan Immigration Control Point[3] and customs facilities[4] of the Immigration Department are located in the terminal. The Shun Tak Centre connected by the pier has a passage leading to the MTR Sheung Wan Station and the bus terminus is located next to the Shun Tak Centre. The wharf can handle 15 million passengers per year. There are two wharves inside and outside, with a 60-meter-wide waterway in between for boats to travel, and they are connected by a pedestrian bridge.
